Here’s the tension: You will never fully forgive others until you fully receive forgiveness yourself.

And you will never fully experience the freedom of being forgiven if you keep refusing to forgive.

The cross is where both meet. Jesus is hanging there…offering forgiveness…while purchasing forgiveness.
