    Our Beliefs

These beliefs are the core of who we are:

Jesus is the head of our church, and His Word is the standard for how we live — as individuals and as God’s family — for the glory of God. Below are brief statements for each of the essential Christian beliefs that we hold as a church and that are foundational to following Jesus in loving, faith-filled obedience.
    FOLLOW JESUS

    A new beginning...

To be made whole, or to be saved, is to submit to God and His plan and purpose for our lives. It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness from our sins and to give us new life in Him.

Romans 10.9 says: “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, and we become His children.

It is an irrevocable acceptance into the family of God, and it is an empowerment to live life wholly and fully with the purpose of reflecting God to the rest of His creation.

If you are not sure whether you are right with God or you know in fact that you need Jesus in your life, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a prayer of surrender to Jesus.

Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that displease you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you, Jesus, came to this earth and died on a cross for me. I believe that you rose again from the dead on the third day, to save me. You did for me what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life. I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend eternity in Heaven with you. Amen.

Congratulations! To pray these words with a surrendered heart to Jesus is the beginning of the most important voyage you will ever embark on: the journey to follow Jesus. Please let us know if you’ve just made a commitment to Jesus and prayed this prayer.

    Frequently asked Questions

    Baptism

    What is baptism?

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.

We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4
